The weather has been so nice lately all I want to do is grab my tube and float the Clark Fork. There is nothing better than spending the afternoon in the sunshine from the Sharon access and jumping out by Finn and Porter. That has been my favorite float for the past 5 years, as long as the sun is shining. Although I have tried it in mediocre weather and it can get cold when you're not feeling the sun.

I'm really excited as I have lots of friends and family coming to visit this year, which means more time on the river. My brother John loves to come visit Missoula, and this year without me knowing he bought a bunch of new tubes and a cooler for our float trips. They are the nice ones that all attach together.

As much as I want to go float the rivers right now, you still need to be careful as the water levels are still a little high. The water temperatures are still cold as well. Also remember that water is very unforgiving, so be safe and never float alone.
