The Missoula County Attorney’s Office handled 11 new felony cases this past week, including a number of violent crimes. Missoula County Attorney Kirsten Pabst explains.

“One was a partner/family member assault involving a strangulation, that one allegedly happened in an RV with children involved, there was an assault with a weapon involving a family member, and there was an assault on a peace officer in which two officers were injured,” Pabst said.

“There were two sex cases: one involving sexual abuse of a child, and the other involving the sexual assault in Frenchtown with Mister Bashor," Pabst said. "There was one endangerment crime, sadly, a negligent homicide. The suspect was allegedly driving the wrong way down the I-90 , in the wrong lane, going 75 miles per hour.”

Pabst says along with the negligent homicide charge in that head-on crash, there are eight felony criminal endangerment charges. To top it all off, there were was a burglary, a trespassing, a heroin case, a criminal mischief case and an incident involving surreptitious visual observation.
