Police arrested a Missoula woman accused of trying to steal some beauty supplies this weekend, April 7. According to Missoula Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh, she later received a felony charge.

"Kathryn Reddick, a 34-year-old female, was arrested on Saturday afternoon about 2:26, after the Missoula Police Department received a report of shoplifting occurring at a grocery store in the 1000 block of East Broadway," Welsh said. "She was transported to the jail where it was discovered that she had prescription drugs on her person that were scheduled and required a prescription, which she did not have."

The drug involved was a benzodiazapine. Welsh says Reddick is facing charges from prior incidents as well.

"It turned out Mrs. Reddick also had a couple of outstanding misdemeanor warrants, she is being held for those, for the count of Misdemeanor Theft due to the shoplifting and also one count of Criminal Possession of Dangerous Drugs, which is a felony in this case."

Reddick was released from the jail on Monday.
