Queens of the Stone Age played the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y., on Sept. 6, marking off the first date of their U.S. tour in support of their recently released seventh studio LP, Villains.

Opening the set with "Feet Don't Fail Me," the leadoff track from Villains, the band set the tone for the show, which included performances of a half-dozen cuts from the new LP alongside a hefty helping of older material — including "Leg of Lamb," a track from 2000's Rated R, making its return to the stage for the first time in six years.

Queens of the Stone Age return to the road on a triumphant note, as Villains recently enjoyed a No. 1 debut in multiple countries — topping the charts in the U.K., Australia, Canada, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland, and Portugal. The album, which bowed at No. 3 in the United States, also topped the vinyl charts in several spots around the world, marking what a band press release billed as the "single biggest global sales week" in the group's history. The band next travels to Philadelphia for the next in a string of dates that will keep them busy through mid-September; after some time off, they're scheduled to return to the road in early October, traveling throughout the United States for much of the rest of the month - you can get all the details and tickets at their official site.
