When it comes to the total solar eclipse coming up on August 21st, pretty close isn't close enough. Although parts of Montana are great for viewers, the best experience will be in the path of totality.

Mackay, Idaho is in the path of totality and there will be a camp out and festival at a private ranch there starting on August 17th. The ranch is on the river and equipped for camping, so bring the entire family for this memorable event!

Enjoy live music, vendors, a mobile planetarium, folfing, great food and swimming. Organizers do want you to be aware that there will be no lifeguard on duty and that this will be a "pack it in, pack it out" situation with NO pets allowed. There will be plenty of port-o-potties on site to accommodate campers.

Tickets are on sale now and you have a few different package options including Family Weekend tickets, Carpool Weekend tickets and One Day tickets. Mackay is about a 5 hour drive from Missoula, so this is a great excuse to squeeze in one last camping trip before school starts!
