Hamilton’s Library Hosts Annual Book Sale

Every year, the basement meeting room of the Bitterroot Public Library fills up with hundreds of used books that valley folks donate to the Friends of the Bitterroot Public Library Used Book Sale.

The books are sold for $1 an inch as you stack up the books you want. Then, you take 'em home and read, read, read.

The sale opens Tuesday September 26 with their Earlybird preview sale from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a $3 admission. Then, the book browsing (without any admission charge) starts at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday only, you pay $3 for a grocery bag filled with as many books as you can stuff in.

There's also a silent auction all week of some special books.
