40 year-old Lose Nomee was arrested early Monday morning and charged with felony theft after allegedly stealing a car in Idaho and driving it to Missoula.

Police spokesman Travis Welsh provides details.

“At about 5:30 this (Monday) morning, officers were dispatched to the report of a suspicious vehicle located in a parking lot in the 1600 block of Wyoming Street,” said Welsh. “The information from the complainant was that the vehicle was running and there was somebody passed out in the driver’s seat.,”

Welsh said the vehicle was described as a gold Dodge Avenger with an Idaho license plate.

“When officers arrived they confirmed that the car was sitting there running and observed the male sitting in the driver’s seat asleep,” he said. “They woke him up and identified him and confirmed that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Idaho. The male was arrested and is awaiting arraignment on Tuesday afternoon in Missoula Justice Court, and was identified as 40 year-old Jose Nomee.”

Welsh said Nomee was cooperative with officers during the arrest and there was no indication that either drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident.
