The Missoula Childbloom Guitar Program will be hosting an evening concert by two Missoula Guitar Ensembles this Saturday, March 17th, at 6:30 p.m. at the University Congregational Church, with proceeds to benefit the Missoula Food Bank. Admission is $9 at the door and kids 12 and under are free! Please bring canned food or non perishables to help out the Food Bank as well. The church is at 405 University Avenue.

The Bella Corda Guitar Quartet and Beck-Rhoades-Nielsen Guitar Trio will perform arrangements of contemporary and classical music, spanning musical styles from J.S. Bach to modern minimalist compositions and instrumental arrangements of pop music. The evening will be rounded out by the addition of two guest soloists and a jazz guitar duo.

This event is sure to be fun for the whole family, hear some great music on a Saturday night and give back to the community!

The Childbloom Guitar Program has been providing music education to children and adolescents in Missoula for the past 17 years. More than 200 students learn the fundamentals of classical guitar and musical expression through the program each week. Childbloom uses a step-by-step teaching approach based on play, group musical interaction, and developmentally appropriate challenges.
