64 year-old Jack Jarvey of Great Falls is in the Missoula County Jail on $250,000 bond accused of committing numerous sex crimes against children.

According to court documents, the alleged crimes took place between 2007 and 2012.

In Missoula Justice Court on Thursday, Deputy Missoula County Attorney Ryan Mickelson advised Judge Landee Holloway of the nature of the alleged crimes.

“The defendant is alleged to have had an ongoing sexual relationship with a juvenile female who is between six and nine years old at the time of the abuse,” said Mickelson. “Beyond sexually engaging her, he also facilitated her performing sexual acts on multiple eight to nine year-old boys who were also in his care. Both the juvenile female and two of the boys confirmed these facts, and additionally, one of the boys provided a statement confirming that the abuse did not have any ties or ongoing relationships with anyone else in the family.”

Mickelson said that at the time of Jarvey’s arrest, he was in possession of a child’s coloring book, which suggested ongoing access to children.

Judge Holloway placed Jarvey back in jail on $250,000 bail and ordered him to appear again in court on August 30.
